Vistas, Villages & More in Santorini

Journey across an unforgettable island landscape and visit a spectacular black-sand beach, a clifftop monastery and more!

About Your Trip

Take in the one-of-a-kind sights of Santorini*, from the island’s rugged volcanic landscapes to verdant vineyards producing some of the world’s best wines. Your adventure begins by traveling north to 2 picturesque towns, Oia and Imerovigli, to get a feel for life on this idyllic Aegean island. You’ll have time to wander the narrow cobblestone streets and admire the unique Cycladic architecture, then walk along a caldera for stunning views of Santorini’s iconic coastline and Skaros Rock, once a medieval fortress. Continue down to sea level to a beach covered in black volcanic pebbles. At the beach, you’ll savor a lunch specially prepared for DreamTrippers, and have plenty of time to swim, sunbathe or snap pics.

Ready to go up high? You’ll travel to the highest part of the island, Profitis Ilias. This mountain is home to an 18th-century monastery and its small chapel and museum. Here you can sample — and perhaps purchase — the wares produced by the monks.

*As a volcanic island, much of Santorini features towering cliffs, uneven streets and a rugged landscape. This DreamTrip includes walking over rough terrain, as well as up and down stairs, and is not recommended for guests with mobility issues and certain other health conditions. Please consult your physician prior to booking. Additionally, please note that the hotel is not wheelchair accessible, and that the stairs at the hotel may be steep for some guests.

What we love:
• Santorini is consistently ranked as one of the most beautiful islands in the world, drawing a couple million visitors each year to see spectacular sunsets from clifftop vantage points.
• A frequently photographed village set on a clifftop, Oia famously features whitewashed houses and blue roofs.
• At 1,860 feet (567 meters) in height, Profitis Ilias delivers the most amazing views of Santorini island in all directions.

Destination

Santorini is the astonishing, jewel-toned remnant of a volcanic eruption. The island is surrounded by steep cliffs that slope into the Aegean Sea. The architecture of Santorini is the true treasure — most homes have the signature crisp white Cycladic features which are heavily associated with the island.

Fira, Santorini’s charming capital, sits on the Western coast of the island, with views of the volcano from every point. Santorini is home to the prehistoric settlement of Akrotiri and the famed churches of Megalochori village, as well as modern wineries that help make up the island’s thriving tourism industry. The island is renowned for growing prized produce in volcanic, mineral-rich soil, making every meal a flavorful experience.
